I have been an English educator since 2004, working as a teacher, Head of Department, and IB PYP Coordinator in private schools. My journey in education began at Çapa Anatolian Teachers High School, where I built a strong foundation for teaching. I later earned my degree in English Language Teaching from Uludağ University and continued my professional development at the University of East Anglia in Norwich, UK, where I attended a long-term course on Teaching English to Young Learners. In 2011, I further strengthened my expertise by obtaining the CELTA certification.
Throughout my career, I have been deeply involved in inquiry-based learning, working both as an IB PYP Teacher and Coordinator. I am passionate about fostering a student-centered, internationally minded approach to education, helping young learners develop critical thinking, communication, and literacy skills. At Doğru Odak, I lead the development of our English program, ensuring it aligns with best practices in language acquisition and inquiry-driven learning. I also support teachers in integrating the IB PYP framework into their teaching, encouraging transdisciplinary connections and meaningful student engagement.
Beyond language education, I have experience in international STEM and STEAM projects, bringing innovative, hands-on learning opportunities into the classroom. I believe in the power of collaboration, both within the school community and across global networks, to create enriching learning experiences for students. My goal is to inspire curiosity, encourage exploration, and support students in developing the skills they need to succeed in an ever-evolving world.
