I'm Feyza Erdogan. I was born in Istanbul on 27/03/1970. I started to work as a Handicraft Instructor in 1988. I continue my duty at Sarıyer Public Education Center. Quilling art, wood painting, recycling projects and artificial flower art are among my branches. Quilling Art branch has survived centuries ago. During the Renaissance, monks and nuns gave rise to the art of quilling in order to evaluate the gilded paper remains that were cut during the manufacture of books. Quilling later became an entertainment for young women of the 18th and 19th centuries in England to decorate tea sets and furniture pieces as paper filigree, and continued its existence to this day. Today, the materials of quilling art are cut between 0.1mm and 0.5mm of glue and colored background cardboards, and they are the main materials with different bending apparatus. When I became interested in this art, I developed the art of quillin by thinking about what I could do differently, developing the paper curling technique, giving dimensions on the picture, decorating it with different materials and making three-dimensional paintings. This branch of art also develops the person spiritually apart from visual enjoyment. It helps to evaluate spare time, be patient, focus and develop finger muscles.
