I am a graduate of Istanbul University, Department of English Language and Literature, and I have been working in English language education for 16 years. Throughout my career, I have worked at various private schools as an English teacher, project coordinator, and English club teacher. These different roles have allowed me to combine language teaching with creativity, literature, and project-based learning.
My greatest academic and professional interest has always been British and American literature. I believe that literature is one of the most powerful ways of bringing a language to life. Through stories, novels, plays, poetry, and literary characters, students can discover not only the English language but also different cultures, perspectives, and ways of thinking. I particularly enjoy integrating literature into my lessons through drama, theatre, creative writing, reading activities, and interdisciplinary projects that encourage students to use English actively and confidently.
As an English teacher, my goal is to create a learning environment where students feel curious, confident, and motivated to express themselves. I want my students to see English not simply as a school subject, but as a gateway to literature, culture, creativity, and new ideas. By combining effective language teaching with literary and creative projects, I aim to make learning English a meaningful, inspiring, and enjoyable journey for every student.
